It seems like everyone is reading a lot of books this week. Just from watching BookTube and perusing Instagram, everyone is starting out the year very strong. I’ve been a little lazy watching Hulu or wasting time on social media, but I still finished a few books!
Here’s what I read this past week:
So… I love this book. A lot. Or maybe I just love Whitney a lot. I’ve watched the Hulu documentary like 100 times. Seriously, you should watch this.
It makes me sad though. Whitney suffered a lot, and it breaks my heart to see all of the pain she went through. I plan to write a full review of this soon, I’m just processing a lot of feelings about the book.
Part of a buddy read.
I wrote a full review that will be out later this week. I’m planning on picking up the next book despite the mixed reviews I’ve heard.
So adorable. I’ll be writing a huge post regarding all of the Smarty Pants Romance books once I’m done!
This one was really cute. Olive and Jay are sweet together. Plus they get stick together in a cabin so you know romance will happen. I had some problems with the book. Mainly the drama created regarding who olives grandpa is and what he did to Japanese citizens during WWII. Jays family suffered because of this, but it’s never really resolved. Why take such a strong and important issue and just act like it’s a plot device? This irked me. But it was still a good book.
This wasn’t my favorite of the series, and the ending made me go meh. This one was just meh to me, but definitely check out the predecessors in the series!
Also another one with a review coming soon. Possibly on Reads and Reels? I’m not sure yet.
Meg Cabot is a cute author, and I don’t think I’ve been disappointed by her books yet.
Monty and Percy are so cute. This novella is a must if you’re a fan of the series. It’s cute, funny, and so sweet. Don’t read this before the other books though.
And here’s what I’m still reading:
I’m not going to say much about the books I’m still reading since I’m still working on them.
Give The Dark My Love is a Buddy read.
I Mom So Hard was a need to read since I’m a stay at home parent.
A Reckless Runaway is a historic romance NetGalley I took a chance on.
Pretty proud of what I accomplished this week with reading. I’m currently on the hunt for a new audio book so suggestions are more than welcome.
Let’s hope I keep this good reading streak going! I’m feeling strong about it. I’m also planning on getting a kindle this year, which will aid in my reading goals.
How did your reading week goal? If you’ve read any of these, I’d love to hear about your thoughts regarding the books. Or just say hi.
