Here is my review:
I am a huge fan of cozy mysteries. I think it is because I enjoyed watching Murder, She Wrote with my grandma or British mysteries on PBS with my mom growing up. These have good memories for me, so I am often drawn to the books and tv shows like that. Hearing about this book, it was similar to those shows, and I jumped at the chance to read this book.
If you have watched Midsomer Murders on TV, this book has the same type of vibe. Although it is an old show, watching it you can see its influence on many other shows.
This book made me go I wanna read these because of the title and it reminds me of all the shows I watched growing up. I just dived deep into this book, and I highly enjoyed every moment of this book. Frances Evasham has also written another book series that seems popular, so I knew this was going to be a good read. And yes, I was right. Any fan of mysteries will not be able to put this book down once they start it.
Imogen has come back after her father has died to run his business, and her estranged husband is found dead. She meets up with an a retired detective and they take on the case to clear her name of the murder.
It is a super fun cozy mystery and strong start to a new series. I can’t wait for the next one!
Thank you again to Frances Evasham, the publisher, and Rachel for allowing me to read this book. I had a lot of fun, and I suggest you pick this up if you are looking for your next cozy mystery!
