This year I set out to do a lot of things with my blog. I thought I would read these books, and I would do other things. I had plans and ideas. I failed. But that is okay. Through this journey, I have realized it is more important to have fun when blogging than worry about meeting some goals I usually end up forgetting about.
I know a lot of great people who have awesome blogs. They work hard, and their dedication shines through in their readership and quality. I admire them. I want to be them, but I know I don’t have the discipline to sit down and make the most amazing content I can because I get distracted or end up just wanting to do something else instead. But here are two blogs with creators who work hard and are fantastic at their blogging endeavors. If you are not already following them, you should be.
These are some high quality bloggers who deserve all the praise and accolades. I know I think they are both awesome.
Some goals I failed this year:
Cutting down my TBR
Clearing off my Goodreads
Reading more of Reeses Book Club Books
Having a dedicated blog schedule
Sticking to a TBR my friends set
Completing any Readathons I signed up for
Writing better reviews
Using Pinterest to make my blog better
And the more I Think about these, I feel bad… but I just want to enjoy reading. I want to just read the books I want and have fun. I know we all do this differently, but I think setting goals for myself does not work unless they are broad. I am sure I will have some goals for 2020. But I wont stress too much about it. I want to blog more, but I just want to have fun with it. I hope more people will follow along with my journey.
Here are some photos of Ever enjoying fall, I just want to be able to have fun and enjoy this life like my kiddo… not worry about goals or tags or reviews…. I just want to blog about books in my own way and lets hope others will feel the same and wanna follow along.
Your blog rocks! Enjoying books is the most important goal. Forget the rest. 🙂
Aww, thank you so much for the shout-out! You’re so sweet and I really appreciate it, especially because I’ve honestly been feeling like I fail in a lot of ways lately, too. So if it’s any consolation, you are absolutely not alone and I don’t think you’re a failure by any means!! As long as you enjoy what you’re doing and are still focusing on the things that matter most, you’ve got this. ♥
