I remember in 2015 when I found BookTube, and it was my favorite thing in the whole world. I was just in awe I could watch strangers talk about books online. I have watched and tried out many over the years. Some have remained favorites and others have fell by the wayside. I do not watch YouTube a lot these days, even though I do have some free time. I end up reading or just doing something random.
I do miss watching people on YouTube talk about books. I will also miss my excitement about how this was a cool new thing and it seemed like everyone was doing it. I did not know it was going to be such an important part of my life. BookTube was the reason I joined Twitter and had a blog. It is what started my connection to the book world and made me into the reader I am today. Even though I have not watched any videos in a long time. I could blame Ever, but it is my own fault.
Here are some of my favorite BookTube people you should check out:
Sue and Megan talk about a lot of great adult scifi books, they go to library book sales, and they are just awesome people. I have enjoyed their videos for a long time.
I do not read a lot of nonfiction, but Olive has great reviews. She is very intellectual and makes her reviews very interesting. She is another long time favorite.
I used to be like that girl from Mean Girls that would copy Regina George with whatever April read. I was just that much of a fan. Now, she is a friend and her channel is still fab. She even has a cute little baby now.
Rebecca and Sarah are just awesome. I found this because of a friend, and I have been watching their videos since I was pregnant with Ever. Their videos never fail to make me laugh. I swear, they are some of the funniest and most awesome.
I am sure there are so many more to enjoy, but these are the ones I have stuck with the long term. I know this seems like a random post, but I just wanted to share some of the YouTube book people I enjoy. And to remind myself to watch them again.
