Crazy, Stupid Bromance – Lyssa Kay Adams [ARC Review]

I have been a fan of these since I saw a lot of people online talking about them. I got sucked into the first one quickly, finishing it in one day. The second one was not my favorite, but I knew I needed the third one because there was a cat on the cover. Then it was even better when I was given an ARC from Berkley because I have been dying to read many of their books for ages. I just fell behind with books, but picked this one up as soon as I could. And it was amazing.

These books could be read alone, but it makes sense to read them in order since the plots intersect. Alexa was the one who came forward about a celebrity chef who had sexually harassed her, and her car cafe has become a safe haven for other women who have been in the same situation. Noah and her have become best friends over the past year, but neither want to admit their feelings. When Alexa finds out some shocking news about her father, she is not sure how to deal with it and it also impacts her relationship with Noah.

The story focuses on both of them in a great way. Alexa has to deal with her father being in her life again because of some shocking news and deal again with her mom being gone. Noah is trying to win Alexa over, with the help of the Bromance Book Club. Both of them are struggling with their lives, but they don’t know how to talk with each other easily. It is a bit of the drama we see in a romance novel, but their friends are working to help them find each other once more.

I thought this was a good story, but there was a lot to handle. Alexa was placed in a new situation with family she had not met, and it was a complex situation. Also, Noah seemed to be acting way too alpha male protective at her at times. Alexa can take care of herself, and I wish Noah had let her do so. Both of them are dealing with a lot, and I think they should have tried to talk better. Still, it was a great read and am looking forward to the next one.

This one may be my favorite so far. Also, I like the country singer in the book. I want a story about him right now. The Russian weirds me out, so I am not sure how I feel about his story being next. I can’t wait to give it a try though. This will be a hit for fans of the series and any person who wants some contemporary romance with a little bit of angst thrown in. There are also appearances by characters from prior books, making the story extra fun.

A huge thank you to NetGalley and Berkeley Publishing for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
